The Holiday letters
In 1995, I started sending holiday letters with a current photo to all our friends and family. The list has grown from about 250 to 500 since then. I think about cutting back or stopping altogether, but I know that I'd lose touch with many dear people if I did. For about half the people on my list, this is the only contact I have with them. I always hang the cards we receive on strings in the family room. I leave them up well into January. This is the main holiday tradition for me.
