Dear Aunt and Uncle,
Uncle Martin has spoken often of you and asked me if I would write to you in America
and tell you about myself.
I am a daughter of Kara Lina and live in Christiania. My parents live in
Fredriiksstadt where Uncle Martin and Aunt Emilie also live.
I have heard from my mother that we have family in America and both of us would
very much like to receive an answer to this letter .
Aunt and Uncle, I hope that you have not forgotten how to read and write norwegien
because my english is not very good. I have 2 brothers in San Francisco. One of them
has lived there for 7 years. We are expecting some norwegian friends to arrive in the
next few days from America. Don't Aunt and Uncle get homesick for the old country
since the division of 1905?
If I ever have the chance to visit my brothers in San Francisco, I would like to visit
you.
