The Honeymoon Page

We postponed our honeymoon because of work, so last week we took off for Xpu-Ha Palace on the  Mayan Riviera.  It's an eco-park with extensive mangrove swamps and the bungalows are really buried in the jungle.  It was a LAZY vacation.  We didn't parasail, jet ski, take a ferry, rent a jeep or learn the merengue.  We lay on the beach, snorkeled a bit and explored the swamp on a paddle boat.  Oh, and we ate a lot.  Or rather, I ate a lot.  The food was included and it really was first-rate, so I gorged frequently.  Tracey usually had a toasted bagel due to her morning sickness.  Had another ultrasound today.  Feels great to see that heartbeat :)

On Tuesday, we went to Tulum, a 15th century Mayan temple complex.  It was hot that day.  Heat-stroke hot.

Oh, the Washington Redskin Cheerleaders were at the same resort all week shooting their annual swimsuit calendar.  They performed one night at the outdoor theater.  Some of them showed off their special talents in the form of singing and interpretive dance.  Wooee, talk about stinkeroo.  They should stick to cheering.
